In Acts 3:19 Peter speaks of "times of refreshing that shall come from the presence of the Lord". Perhaps that is the best description of Worship/Prayer & Prophetic Gatherings.
Worship/Prayer & Prophetic Gatherings consist of anointed praise and worship, teaching and body ministry according to 1 Corinthians 14:26. We come together to seek the face of God by ministering to him and then allowing him to minister to us. We leave refreshed.
Thirty years ago Derek Prince gave this prophecy at Deliverance Evangelistic Temple in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
I HAVE FOUND FAVOR WITH YOU HERE IN EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA. I WILL PERSONALLY VISIT YOU. THERE WILL BE A REVIVAL GREATER THAN THE GREAT WALES REVIVAL AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. (20TH CENTURY) THERE WILL BE KINGS AND LEADERS WHO WILL COME FROM NORTH AND SOUTH AND EAST AND WEST TO STUDY THE EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA PHENOMENON.
A couple of years ago I was traveling and ministering with Miguel Escobar. We met in Virginia to spend some time praying together with some other ministers. Miguel shared with me a vision the Lord had given him to start revival centers in cities throughout the United States and around the world.
A few days later we were ministering together in Georgia. The Lord woke me up at 4:00 one morning and told me that this idea for revival centers was something he wanted to do and that I would be a part of it. He then shared with me some details about it.
In 2004 the Lord told me to start monthly meetings in various cities that would be a first step toward fulfilling Miguel's vision of revival centers.
During the last half of 2005 I had three meetings in operation. These three were Brunswick County, Wilmington and Jacksonville, all in eastern North Carolina. The Jacksonville meeting was not growing very much and I considered shutting it down but the Lord spoke to me and said that I had to continue that meeting.
Robert and Ann Meadows had been coming to that meeting since the very first night. They had started a church in their home in Maysville, NC (Between Jacksonville and New Bern) and then moved to a modular building across the road from their house. Robert and I discovered that we shared the same vision for revival and met one Monday morning at his house to talk and pray about it. The Lord instructed us to move the Jacksonville Glory Campaign to the church Robert and Ann started in Maysville. (Jacob's Well Christian Fellowship Church)
Robert had shared a vision with me that he had seen as he was driving home one day. In a field across the road from Jacob's Well Church he had seen a large building with acres of parking lot. (He actually saw this with his physical eyes.) The Lord told him that this was to be a revival center where people would come for a period of time and then go out all over the world. Another man saw this same vision and Robert's daughter dreamed it. All three saw it independently of each other and then shared it with each other.
As Robert and I were praying together in his living room that Monday morning I told him that every time I thought of this vision the Lord had shown him, I heard the Lord say 16,000 people. Robert laughed and said that the Lord had told him the main auditorium in the building would seat 15,000 people.
As I was driving back toward Wilmington on Highway 17 that afternoon I asked the Lord, "Why did you tell me 16,000 and you told Robert 15,000. The Lord quickly spoke to me and said that there would be a 1,000 seat overflow room where smaller meetings could be held as well.
A little farther down highway 17 the Lord spoke to me again. He said, "The revival that Derek Prince prophesied will issue out of the three places you have started meetings in eastern North Carolina.
In Prince's prophecy he said that kings and leaders would come from north and south and east and west to study the eastern North Carolina phenomenon. While these meetings will be known worldwide for the glory of God manifesting in our midst, the phenomenon that will be studied will be the foundation and structure of what God is doing. This is more than just another revival, out pouring of the Holy Spirit, or move of God. Jesus is building his Church that the gates of hell will not prevail against. This Church is spoken of in Matthew 16:18. It will be the glorious Church, holy and without blemish, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, spoken of in Ephesians 5:27. It will be established on the foundation of apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20) with the five fold ministry in operation (Ephesians 4:11-16).
Joel 2:32 talks about a remnant. Today God is calling out a remnant from among those who call themselves Christians. This will be a remnant that will do things his way and go all the way for him.
The eastern North Carolina revival will spearhead this work God is doing but this Church Jesus is building is worldwide.
We are living in the most exciting time that history has ever known. As we move into the new millenium we are going to witness the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19), bringing the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, first in us individually and corporately in the Body of Christ and then throughout the earth (Matthew 6:10/Luke 11:2). The fullness of God is going to dwell in us (Ephesians 3:19) as we corporately become a habitation of God through the Spirit (Ephesians 2:22) bringing the apostolic church to fullness and completion.
SURELY WE WERE BORN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!
